JEDDAH — Saudi Arabia and the United States say representatives of the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have agreed to a 24-hour countrywide ceasefire beginning Saturday.The countrywide ceasefire will take effect from 6:00 a.m. Khartoum time.The parties agreed to refrain from prohibited movements, attacks, use of aircraft or drones, aerial bombardment, artillery strikes, reinforcement of positions and resupply of forces during the ceasefire. RIYADH — Saudi customs officers at the Haditha dry port have foiled two separate attempts to smuggle 466,326 Captagon pills into the Kingdom, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) has said.The authority said the pills were found hidden in two vehicles that arrived at the port.It said 365,166 Captagon pills were seized from a truck while a second vehicle had 101,160 Captagon pills hidden inside.The authority said following the seizure of the contraband, two accomplices inside the Kingdom were arrested in coordination with the General Directorate for Narcotics Control.ZATCA said that it spares no effort to tighten its grip over the Kingdom's imports and exports.
