PARIS — Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to collaborating with all stakeholders in the pursuit of a prosperous global future during the planned hosting of Riyadh Expo 2030.
Speaking at a seminar in Paris organized by the Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC), the entity responsible for overseeing Expo 2030, Al-Khateeb underscored that this commitment goes beyond a mere vision, evolving into a tangible global reality.
The seminar revolved around the Expo 2030 theme, “Prosperity for All,” which seeks to encapsulate the Kingdom’s ambitions to host an exceptional edition of the expo that lays the groundwork for a forward-thinking future for humanity.
Riyadh Expo 2030 is set to convene under the overarching theme: “The Era of Change: Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow.”
The choice of this theme aligns with the Kingdom’s eagerness to foster international dialogue and collaboration, bridging global disparities and differences toward a more inclusive and sustainable world, as articulated by Al-Khateeb.
The CEO of the Diriyah Gate Development Authority (DGDA), Jerry Inzerillo, also participated in the seminar and highlighted that Saudi Arabia is currently experiencing unparalleled progress in various sectors, alongside increased openness in areas such as investment, culture, and tourism.
Inzerillo expressed confidence that these factors would play a pivotal role in Saudi Arabia’s ability to deliver on its promise of hosting an exceptional expo, emphasizing that the Kingdom’s objective extends beyond winning the hosting bid.
Instead, it encompasses enriching the world with its deep and diverse human culture, heritage, and warm hospitality.
He further commended the qualitative development initiatives and large-scale projects he had observed in Saudi Arabia, positioning the country as the ideal destination for hosting the expo.
This seminar forms part of a series organized by the RCRC in Paris, with the aim of introducing the expo’s main theme and sub-themes while establishing their significance for participating nations.
Additionally, these seminars serve as platforms for gathering ideas, opinions, and input from delegates on the suitability of these themes for their respective countries. — SPA
