Media Minister meets editors-in-chief of Saudi newspapers


RIYADH – The Minister of Media Turki Bin Abdullah Al-Shabanah met at Saudi Press Agency (SPA) headquarters here the editors-in-chief of Saudi newspapers, the Agency said Saturday.

During the meeting, they discussed subjects related to the media field and the means to support and develop them. They also discussed the projects, initiatives and ideas to develop work in journalism.

Al-Shabanah stressed the importance of improving work in journalism such that it reflects the advancement, development and prosperity the Kingdom has reached in all fields and contributes to supporting the nation’s march and strengthens the Kingdom’s status at all levels.

The minister lauded the limitless support the field of journalism gets from the prudent leadership, which has resulted in great advancement in the human and technology fields in journalism in the Kingdom.

Following the meeting, the editors-in-chief, accompanied by SPA President Abdullah Bin Fahd Al-Hussein, toured SPA headquarters and got acquainted with work in the various administrations and sections of the agency including halls for editors, photography, TV production, new media and the Information Center, which are provided with the latest technology.

The editors lauded SPA’s progress in news services at all levels. – SG/SPA
