Jobs at more than 17,000 communication firms Saudized

— The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has carried out a total of 18,300 inspection tours of mobile shops all over the Kingdom to check their commitment to the nationalization of jobs.

Khaled Abalkhail, spokesman of the ministry, said as many as 17,443 shops have Saudized all their jobs while 844 other establishments have not yet complied with the regulations.

He said the inspection tours started early this year and are continuing, Makkah daily cited him as saying.

The spokesman said the inspection campaigns discovered about 901 violations consisting of 592 concerning the decision to Saudize jobs and 309 various other violations.

He asked the citizens to communicate with the ministry through its toll free number 19911 or the application "together for monitoring" on the smart phones so as to lodge their complaints regarding Saudization of jobs in the mobile phone shops.

The decision to limit work in the sale and maintenance of mobile phones to Saudi men and women was aimed at providing more job opportunities to the Saudis and keep this profession at their hands due to its security, social and economic importance.
